50 Years of Excellence: Hydraulic Control Blocks and Technical Cleanliness by GLÄSER
GLÄSER GmbH has been shaping the field of design, manufacturing, and testing of hydraulic control blocks for diverse applications for nearly 50 years.
For more than 20 years, another business area has been added with technical cleanliness. the “CleanTec” brand, GLÄSER combines all products and services from this sector.
It all started with a service laboratory for cleanliness analyses. This state-of-the-art, accredited testing laboratory in Horb has made a name for itself in the industry.
GLÄSER GmbH now operates three additional testing laboratories internationally: Nanjing, China; Querétaro, Mexico; and Twinsburg, USA. With over 100.000 conducted residual contamination analyses, the company has proven its expertise for customers around the world.
To meet high testing standards, GLÄSER GmbH uses self-developed, constructed, and built testing machines for the extraction of particulate contamination from components in all its laboratories. More than 1,000 testing machines have been successfully installed and integrated into customer processes worldwide. They ensure time-saving and precise analysis results in accordance with relevant factory standards and the VDA19.1 / ISO16232 recommendations for the automotive industry and its suppliers.
The long-standing experience and expertise in hydraulics and technical cleanliness make GLÄSER GmbH a valued and trusted partner in the industry. Rely on quality, innovation, and a partnership built on 50 years of excellence.
History
From Foundation to Present
The mechanical engineering company based in Horb am Neckar, Germany, was founded by Fritz-Jörg Gläser in 1976. Since then, the company has continuously evolved and grown.
The company’s history began with hydraulics. Eleven years later, in 1987, this core competence expanded to include the trade of hydraulic components. Due to its success, a new plant was opened in Horb in 1997.
Since the early 2000s, Technical Cleanliness became the second mainstay. Analytics and the construction of associated testing facilities have been an integral part ever since.
In 2010, two plants were opened simultaneously: one in Horb, Germany, and the first foreign branch in the USA. Shortly after, in 2015, the subsidiary in Nanjing, China, was established. Another laboratory was added in 2018 in Querétaro, Mexico.
Since then, Gläser has been characterized by nearly 50 years of expertise. Rooted in tradition and fairness, the company is now led by Claudia Gläser in the second generation. The third generation is also ready and already involved.
Vision
Where Do We Want to Go?
Our goal is to become the leading provider in particulate extraction in the medium term.
We achieve this by continuously developing our own testing machines.
These are used both in our own laboratories worldwide and by numerous laboratory service providers and in the industry itself.
We understand the challenges our customers face and are experts in extracting and analysing particulate contaminants.
This positions us uniquely in the industry.
Unique Selling Proposition
What Makes Us Special?
Through the unique combination of mechanical engineering and the use of our own specially developed quality testing machines, we are able to make continuous improvements.
Our highly qualified employees, who bring their expertise to component testing, constantly work on advancing our innovative extraction machines.
An outstanding example is our EasyDry, which not only dries the filter membrane in record time of 7-9 minutes but cools and dehumidifies at the same time, resulting in significant time savings. This significantly optimizes laboratory processes and enables more efficient creation of test reports.
Mission
Our Mission – Technical Cleanliness
Our mission at GLÄSER GmbH is to actively contribute to optimizing manufacturing processes to provide high-quality products for various industries, including the automotive, battery cell, hydrogen, aerospace, electronics, and medical industries.
Our drive lies in non-destructive and practical particulate extraction and analytics, investigating the causes of particle contamination, and advising on contamination reduction.
Innovation
Breaking Boundaries, Creating Opportunities
Our ongoing work is based on our long-standing experience with over 100,000 analyses of components of various types.
These experiences and the continuous integration of consulting results drive us to develop innovative solutions.
An outstanding example is our latest development, the A2W Air2Water-Hybrid, an air extraction machine that, after three years of intensive research, is now on the market. Our motivation for this development was the need for non-destructive and gentle particulate extraction from functionally relevant electronic or air-carrying components using compressed air.
Only with this innovative dry extraction can comparable measurements under real conditions be correctly interpreted and targeted actions taken, which is of great benefit to various industries.
